a trip to Staples, clams, and huskies.

Today, after working in the office with my mom, the two of us drove into Sandpoint to run some errands. I drove and we went to the bank before hitting up Staples.

I love Staples after today. It was rather entertaining actually because I was buying a couple of notebooks for my grandmother and I quickly found what I was looking for. Mom had a bunch of things to get so I wandered around the store. I looked at all the back-to-school savings, wandered through the laptops, and then I found the camera aisle. The tech guys had asked me if I needed anything about three times at this point so I asked one of them about the best camera. I found my next camera, guys.

It's on sale for $449.00 (regular price $549.00). I want it. I'm saving up for it. It'll probably take me years, and then by then there will be a different camera out that I want, but hey. It's my goal right now.

Then for an early dinner, Mom and I went to a little place called Trinity at the Sandpoint City Beach. I got clams in a white wine sauce (SO YUM.)

When we got home, Mom took the new dog, our husky, for a walk. Long story short, he got away and ran into the woods. We drove around for a while looking for him, but he was nowhere to be found. He came home about....an hour ago now, muddy and happy. Stupid dog.

I sincerely hope that it's sunny and cheerful wherever you're reading from and that you're having a good week.

I hate construction.

Hi guys. This morning, I was awakened by pounding. at 7 a.m. We're having our roof re-done and OF COURSE they started above my room. It sounds like something is going to fall through my ceiling. I really really don't like pounding above my head.

What do you hate at 7 a.m.?

do you like fire?

Hey guys. While I was on my Dad's computer (working on the bulletins for Sunday, so I'm allowed to be on his computer FYI) I noticed he had bookmarked a blog. I got curious, mostly because the name of it was Pyromaniacs and I like fire. I had no idea it'd be an amazing Christian blog whose authors want to "set the world on fire." Seriously. Check it out.

Lifestyle Forecast: sick week..

Monday, July 25:
"The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace."
Numbers 6:25-26

Tuesday, July 26:
Eat dinner for lunch, lunch for breakfast, and breakfast for dinner. It's amazing. I love having pancakes for dinner. Lunch for breakfast might sound weird, but hamburger patties are really yummy in the morning and a good source of protein. Dinner for lunch isn't that hard since they're about the same types of food groups.

Wednesday, July 27:
Read a book. Since movies, reading has become a lost pastime to the general public. Some of my favorites are The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein, the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan, Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie,  1984 by George Orwell, and The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.

One of the most famous and best classics ever written. It's full of hobbits, wizards, elves, dragons, gold, dwarves, magic forests, goblins, and Beorn.
pure awesomeness.
I discovered this series a while ago, and just recent acquired all 7 books. A word of warning: the books aren't in chronological order, so read 1-4, then read 7, then read 5-6.
I had to read this book for school and it's one of the few that I kept. A twisted love triangle, Hercule Poirot, murder...it doesn't get much better.
Dark. Depressing. Wretched ending. But it's one of my favorite books. It's so well written and if you're reading it for the first time....I won't spoil it for you. You won't expect the ending.
C.S. Lewis was a genius. I want to live in Narnia. I always look in my closet for a pathway into another world and I'm always disappointed.

Thursday, July 28:
Go boating/fishing. I went with a couple friends yesterday. We stuck a couple poles in the water, but didn't catch anything. We ended up floating around the lake just talking for a few hours. It's really relaxing and a lot of fun.

Friday, July 29:

it's the little things in life....the quiet life

First things first: I need to apologize for the lack of photographic evidence. My camera is still being uncooperative and I shall have to survive without it until I can afford to get a new one. In the meantime, weheartit.com will have to fill in the gaps. SO. Enough depressing-ness.

Monday:
<3 relaxing with Brittany and watching movies <3

Tuesday:
<3 memorizing Karmin's version of "Look at Me Now" <3 Sandpoint with Brittany <3 dinner in town with Mom and Brit <3

Brit and I had lunch at Jack in the Box (yummmmy!!!)
then we went down to Sandpoint City Beach and sat in the car looking out at the water.

Wednesday:
<3 brunch with Mom and Brit <3 shopping with Mom <3 finding my new favorite store: Vivo <3 skyping with good friends <3

Thursday:
<3 watching movies all day because I was sick <3

Friday:
<3 getting back into the swing of normal life <3 Trix cereal <3

Yes, Friday's a pretty low key day. The rest of my day will be filled with cleaning, laundry, office work, and relaxing. It's been quiet since all of our company left and since my father and brother left for a missions trip to Cambodia. Mom's at the office, the grandmothers are each in their own little spots, and I'm left to do my work. Still, it's a nice kind of quiet. I hope you all are having a lovely day, wherever you're reading from.
