how to train your dragon while listening to Good Charlotte

Hey everyone! I meant to do this post yesterday, but I ran out of time. Yesterday was a pretty eventful day with a school Avodah (kind of like a field trip) in the morning and a Good Charlotte concert last night (OH.MY.GOODNESS.), and I just epically failed at getting a post done yesterday. So, today I'm going to fill you in on my awesome weekend--starting with Friday night.
But excuse me while I go get something to drink.

Okay, I'm back and ready to write with Cherry Coke, Peeps, Reese's and cotton candy. (Don't worry, I don't plan on eating all of that while writing this post...or even today) I've only had my drink open for about 5 seconds and I've already spilled it on myself. I am the best.

Alright so back to Friday night. My school had its 6th annual Variety Show. There were several acts of varying genres. Here are some pictures of some of my favorites:

I just love this picture because the guy making the face is my boss :) It's his "thing" to make faces in pictures.
The witty hosts of the evening: Bryan and Tim.
Josh preparing for his song about toast.
Ellen singing a beautiful and haunting song, "Still Hurting"
 The Improv group....
 ....I love them.
It turned into a dance party for a few minutes at the end. It was an awesome show.

After the talent show, Danielle, my roommate, Emily, and I watched "How to Train Your Dragon." If you haven't seen it, you should go to a store, rent or buy it, and watch it.

It's a funny movie about friendship, loyalty, and even a little bit of tough Viking love. It's a good one!

Saturday morning, I had an Avodah for school and for this one we went to the Nixon Library in Orange County.

I won't go into detail about the Nixon Library in this post because I have so many pictures of it, but don't worry--tomorrow's post is all about the Library.

And then...*drum roll* GOOD CHARLOTTE! Danielle and I drove to the House of Blues in downtown LA to see the famous band in concert. They sound just as awesome live!

I love them!
I also found a new love at the GC concert: Forever the Sickest Kids. If you haven't heard of them, you should look them up. Their music is pretty good...and I love the drummer, Kyle. :)

They're pretty funny to watch in concert..they really get into it.

They've been traveling with Good Charlotte on the Cardiology tour over the past few weeks. FTSK are pretty cool dudes. The proceeds of their merchandise for the past few weeks has all gone to build clean water wells in Africa. They're also from Dallas, Texas, although their accent isn't super noticeable. (just look 'em up)

Well, that should be it for today. Here's just a little preview of a few things that are coming up this week:
Tomorrow: Nixon Library (I have so many pictures!)
Wednesday: the first chapter of a new story!
Thursday: class study on History 212
Friday: it's the little things in life...5 papers!?
I hope to see you all then...or see evidence of your presence with comments. Love you guys! :)

  1. You definitely know how to prepare for blogging, and I agree, FTSK is pretty awesome.

  2. you know who they are!? you just went up by like 50 degrees of coolness.

  3. Gah you went to the house of blues??? thats wicked awesome! :)
